Inlet’s Summer Dance Intensive Jr. & Summer Dance Intensive 2019

Summer Dance Intensive Jr. — June 17 – June 22, 2019

Just like Inlet’s longstanding Summer Dance Intensives, Summer Dance Intensive Jr. focuses on creating a supportive community for young dancers ages 6-11, exposing students to the collaborative dance-making process, and increasing technical and performance skills. This 1-week intro camp, June 17 – June 22, 2019, includes improvisation-based movement games, modern technique, creating new choreography and more! This year’s theme is “Making Waves” and will include variations of Inlet’s Easter Island Memoirs! This camp will culminate with an informal showing for family and friends on Friday afternoon.

Tuition: Half Day 9am-12:00pm $250/wk Full Day 9am-3:30pm $400/wk After-care 3:30-6pm $15/day *Tuition includes an Inlet shirt LAST MINUTE Registration: ANY registration or tuition payment made after May 31, 2019 will be subject to a $50 fee.

SDI JR Faculty: Faculty for the Summer Dance Intensive Jr. is comprised of the professional dancers and instructors of Inlet Dance Theatre. All instructors are First Aid Certified and have completed extensive background checks. To learn more about the Company Members go inletdance.org.

Summer Dance Intensive Jr. Location: Summer Dance Intensive Jr. is being held at The Music Settlement’s Early Childhood Education building in University Circle. Situated on the edge of the Case Western Reserve Campus and walking distance from museums and restaurants, it’s an ideal, safe and convenient location. FREE on-site parking. The building is a nut-free facility.

*Inlet Dance Theatre reserves the right to cancel our Summer Dance Intensive 19 Jr. if enrollment is too low. Registered students will be notified by June 1, 2019 and will be fully refunded.

Summer Dance Intensive June 26 – July 27, 2019

Tuition: Full Program (4.5 weeks) – $1250, June 26 – July 27, 2019. Includes over 157 hours of dance instruction, multiple performance opportunities, costuming, and an Inlet shirt Half Program (2.5 weeks) – $550, June 26 – July 12, 2019. Includes over 87 hours of dance instruction, an informal performance opportunity, and an Inlet shirt. Last minute registration – Full ($1300) or Half ($600). Register and/or complete payment after June 12th. *Space is limited – secure your spot now with a $100 deposit by May 1, 2019.

Other Options: There are other options available for students that desire to spend part of the summer studying with Inlet, but that cannot commit to the Full or Half Program.

• 10 Class Card – $150Students may participate in ten (10) morning technique classes (9:00-10:30am), between June 26-July 19, 2019
• Single Classes – $15 each Students may drop in to take a single morning technique class (9:00-10:30am), between June 26-July 19, 2019
• Educator/Chaperone Option: Ideal for instructors and chaperones who are interested in learning new techniques, but not interested in performing. Includes Modern, Improvisation, and Nontraditional Partnering technique classes, along with the option to observe rehearsals. Must be 18+ and a dance/theatre instructor OR accompanying a student or group of students.

A $100 deposit is required to secure your spot, which will go towards your overall tuition cost. Pay your $100 deposit online now! Your tuition can be paid in installments. Please contact the office for info about payment plans. Tuition is due in full by June 12th.You can also pay your deposit and tuition via check, payable to Inlet Dance Theatre, mailed to our office at 11125 Magnolia Dr, Cleveland OH 44106. Limited partial scholarships available! All scholarships are based on talent and financial need. Students interested in scholarships are required to apply for the scholarship.
