So, the month of September has certainly been busy! With performances every weekend, we definitely need to catch you up. We are always extremely thankful for the following partnerships that continue to push the arts development in Cleveland and the greater Northeast Ohio region.
On Friday, Sept. 7, Inlet’s Dominic Moore-Dunson and Joshua Brown performed “Walk With Me” at Playhouse Square’s annual event, Dance Showcase.
The next night, Sept. 8. Inlet’s Company dancers and dancers from the Trainee & Apprentice Program performed “Desire” at Cleveland Public Theatre’s annual benefit, Pandemonium: Labyrinth of Desire.
The following weekend, Sept. 15, Dominic Moore-Dunson premiered his evening-length work, The Black Card Project (produced by Inlet Dance Theatre and funded by the Knight Arts Foundation) at Firestone Community Learning Center.
Then, the next week, Sept. 17 – 21, Inlet’s Joshua Brown and Dominic Moore-Dunson with Exec/Artistic Director Bill Wade traveled to Belhaven University in Jackson, MI to teach a week-long residency and to set 3 new works on the students in the dance department. On Sept. 22, they performed in the Community Dance Concert on campus.
Meanwhile, back in Cleveland on Sept. 23, the rest of the Company dancers and the dancers in the Inlet Trainee & Apprentice Program performed at Rocky River Presbyterian Church kicking off their Artist Concert Series.
And lastly, on Sept. 28, Inlet’s Katie McGaha performed “Getting to Zero: a survivor’s tale”at the Salvation Army Annual Luncheon focused on human trafficking awareness.
