Inlet is so thankful to be so busy, especially at this time of the year. Not only is the company booked with performances, but the Inlet Trainee & Apprentice Program have their own performances and events, as well. Here are some recaps of past performances, and a list of where you can see Inlet next!
May 5 — Station Hope
Inlet’s Dominic Moore-Dunson performed a new work, “Still I Rise,” with the Inlet Trainee & Apprentice Program for Cleveland Public Theatre‘s annual event, Station Hope, May 5 at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Every year, this event is powerful and brings together artists from all over the city discussing the injustices of our world. With a roaring standing ovation, Inlet was beyond overwhelmed by the love shared from that evening.
May 11 — Safe Families for Children-Cleveland
The Inlet Trainee & Apprentice Program performed for the Safe Families for Children-Cleveland event, “Welcomed,” on May 11. Safe Families for Children’s goal is to engage families via faith communities to open their homes to care for vulnerable children. This event included performances from other dance companies, vendors, unique gifts, coffee, and appetizers. This mission is extremely important to the Cleveland area, and Inlet is thankful to have been a part of it.
May 12 — The Bird’s Nest
On Saturday, May 12, Inlet’s Katie McGaha & Kevin Parker with Exec/Artistic Director Bill Wade traveled to Buffalo, NY where they performed the duet, “10,” and then taught a 2.5 hour Non-Traditional Partnering masterclass to the artists at The Birds Nest. We can tell this is the start to an extremely fun and long-standing partnership.
