For the past several years, the Inlet Trainee & Apprentice Program has performed at the University Circle’s Holiday CircleFest. At this annual event, more than a dozen of University Circle’s renowned museums, gardens, galleries, churches, and schools open their doors FREE of charge and offer an afternoon of activities, music, food, fun, and shopping. Visitors can look forward to live performances from talented musicians, craft making, historic displays of holiday toys, storytelling, the city’s best gingerbread house competition, and much more. This year, on December 3, the Trainee’s and Apprentice’s performed a 30-minute matinee for children and parents from all over Northeast Ohio at The Music Settlement.
That same evening, members of the Inlet Trainee & Apprentice Program joined the Inlet Company Members and other artists from the community to perform as puppets and illuminated dancers for the Holiday CircleFest Annual Winter Lights Lantern Festival processional at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Inspired by centuries-old, cross-cultural traditions of ceremonial lighting displays, the Winter Lights Lantern Festival features lantern displays inside the museum and the Environment of Lights installation on Wade Oval. The museum offers workshops for making simple lanterns for the procession.
